Hotel Rehabs is a nationwide hotel renovation company specializing in branded and independent boutique projects. A close knit, tightly-held firm that prides itself on its strong business relationships and ability to meet customer needs at the highest value. Hotel Rehabs specializes in brands including Hilton, IHG, Marriott, and Hyatt branded properties in the upper mid-scale to upper upscale spaces. Since 2010, we have completed more than 110 hotel construction projects totaling over 15,900 guestrooms throughout the county, with projects ranging from 50 to 500 guestrooms.

Chris Winterhalter

Chief Executive Officer

Chris Winterhalter is a YPO member and the CEO and Co-Founder of Hotel Rehabs, LLC, a nationally recognized full-service hotel renovation contractor with locations in Chicago, Cincinnati, Phoenix, and Mexico City.

Under his leadership, Hotel Rehabs has completed over 110 hotel renovation projects, encompassing more than 15,000 guest rooms. The company specializes in mid-scale to upper-upscale properties for industry-leading brands like Marriott, Hilton, IHG, and Hyatt.

Leveraging his experience as an investor in distressed housing, Chris co-founded Sustainable Ventures, LLC in 2009. The company now owns 120 apartment units and has completed numerous residential property transactions. Chris’s dual perspective as an owner and investor allows him to understand his hotel clients’ needs deeply, making strategic decisions that positively impact their bottom lines.

A graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Operations Management, Chris concentrated on Entrepreneurship and Spanish. Conversationally fluent in Spanish and an avid traveler and scuba diver. Chris is passionate about exploring new places across Latin America, the Caribbean, and beyond. He resides in Chicago’s vibrant Wicker Park neighborhood with his amazing wife, Brooke, and their two children Saige & Tobias.

Guy Gripp

President of Construction

Guy is a seasoned construction professional with over 25 years of experience in residential and commercial construction both in the development and redevelopment space.

As President of Construction, he ensures all aspects of the project are executed to client satisfaction, employing all best practices on every project.

Guy has been involved in 50 hotel projects consisting of over 5000 guestrooms and the new construction of over 1,100 single family homes.

Guy is an avid outdoorsman with family roots in Wyoming. When he isn’t running a construction company or investing in real estate, he’s spending time with his wife and two beautiful daughters.

Guy carries a California Contractors License, OSHA 30 Hour Construction Certification, EPA Lead Renovators Certification and is a Building Analyst Professional from (BPI, Inc.).
